I
am going to see the doctor again today about this awful pulsing and
tinnitus. Yesterday it was so much better I thought it was gone and
then at 9:00p.m. it got real bad. I took some Sudafed and woke up this
morning with all that noise and I don't mean All that Jazz like the
movie.
I like jazz but this Pulsatile Tinnitus has got to go!
I'm not sure if I should be worried. You know how the internet is. It
can be nothing or something very serious. Oh well. The doctor will
know what to do.

Well,
now we know why the peanut butter was eaten off a trap and then later a
mouse was caught. There were two and we got the second one today. We
think they were a couple of brothers, Mo and Schmo.
Mo figured
out how to get the food without getting caught and then Schmo came along
and was not so lucky. Anyway, Mo must have slipped up today or there
are more! Oh no!
Hope a family has not moved in. We are not a New Mouse version of The Borrowers!

Beautiful
day and I could not be more behind in my work. Lots of distractions
today including two plumber visits. Our water bill is four times what
it should be so the plumber was called to see if there is some sort of
leak.
He said no so I guess we will have a city official out to
verify what he said. Then I asked him to fix the little spray nozzle on
out kitchen sink. When he left it sprayed me when I turned on the
faucet. I forget about it twice before the plumber came back. Glad he
came back. I was tired of getting sprayed. Visit two did the job.

We
didn't catch the mouse yesterday and found out that one of the traps is
broken. When Clyde got up the working trap had a lot of evidence of a
mouse around it and the peanut butter was gone. The mouse had managed
to lick it off and not get caught. Clyde said that mouse must have a
college degree.
Well, when I got up and looked the trap was
upside down with the mouse dead underneath it. I told Clyde and he said
it may have a college degree but it must have failed How to Avoid a
Mouse Trap 101. We figured it just wanted to make sure it got all the
peanut butter.
Anyway, bye bye mouse! If you had just used the Have a Heart trap you would still be around to enjoy this pretty day!

Clyde
is getting better and hopes to get to work tomorrow. I don't know.
The knee is still a pain in the knee so I am not sure he can drive for
thirty minutes and then put in eight hours. Oh well. I guess he can
claim victory and retreat after a few hours. We will see!

Once
again we have a visitor we don't want. Lots of nasty evidence of a
mouse in the kitchen. The first one we caught with a Have a Heart trap
and Clyde took it down to the river.
The second one was caught
in the same trap but managed to get out so we used the killer kind. I
was hoping we could get the third one with the Have a Heart trap, but no
luck so we will use the killer kind again.
In this case, a
little knowledge is a dangerous thing for this mouse. It has
successfully figured out how to avoid the Have a Heart trap so it will
pay for that knowledge. As Clyde says, the more you know the more it
comes back to bite you! Look out Smart Alec! You will be bit this
time.

It
is great to see Clyde getting around without the walker! His knee
still hurts but he is walking, mostly without assistance. He will see
the doctor Monday and hopefully go back to work on Tuesday or Wednesday.
It
is nice having him around but I am getting tired of being a caretaker.
It really is hard to put a sock on someone. I am getting the hang of
it. Oh well. It is a beautiful day and maybe I can get into the studio
for a while.

I
am starting to catch up on some of my computer work as Clyde hobbles
around the house. His knee is getting better every day and he should be
back to work next week. That is a whole lot better than six weeks with
no weight bearing on that leg! So glad it was just a tear!

Clyde
and I both have advanced degrees but the other day we both decided we
must have degrees in Stupidology. While he was taking a shower in the
bathroom with a shower/tub combo we were talking about how great it
would be to have one of those showers that you walk in and sit down.
Then
it occurred to me that we could have been using the bathroom in the bed
room that just has a shower stall. We couldn't believe how stupid we
had been. For days he has been painfully lifting his leg over the bath
tub when he could have been walking into the shower.
What a couple of Stupidologists!

It
is always great to hear from patrons! The couple that bought Eagle
Fire sent me a picture of it in their Montana home. I think they picked
a perfect place for it and I am glad it has a good home. I will miss
that one a lot. It is my favorite painting from my Kendall Expressions
series. I guess it just had to fly the coop!

Clyde
is starting to get his sense of humor back as the condition of his knee
improves. He is just taking tylenol now and the swelling is way down.
He is drinking lots of fluids which, of course, means lots of trips to
the bathroom.
He said if he were looking for a job right now all
he could put on the resume is able to go to the bathroom. I don't
think there is a call for frequent bathroom visitors. Unemployment sure
would take a nose dive if there were jobs for that!

Wow!
Clyde is hobbling around after knee surgery and I am gaining
appreciation for Home Health Care workers. He is great about taking
care of himself but there are so many things he can't do right now so he
has to call on the reserves which is, of course, me.
I am
having such a hard time getting everything done but that's life. I am
still so happy that he will be well in a few days and not on
disability. The doctor repaired the tear and said his knee looks
great! He doesn't have to use a walker. Yes!!!!!

Clyde
is a great patient but things are not too funny right now. Every once
in a while he turns his leg wrong and has quite a bit of pain. He is
not taking the pain medication, just a very strong form of aleve. He
doesn't want to deal with the side effects of the strong stuff.
Anyway,
I did see another cute funny about nurses. You don't mess with a
nurse. They are paid to stick needles in people. Love it!

I
am really on the tread mill lately. Like my father-in-law would say, I
am like a three legged bear. Making a lot of tracks and getting
nowhere. Hopefully I can get most of what I need to do finished and
still have time to paint.
I wish painting could be number one
but art promotion is number one. So much time on the internet I am
beginning to think there are invisible chords coming from the screen
that are wrapped around my fingers.
Puppet to a machine. Oh well, I can cut the strings some of the time but they just seem to reattach themselves.

is the day! Knee operation and 24 hour patient care duty for me. Not
looking forward to this. I saw a cute joke on the internet about age.
I'm not old. I just need some WD-40.
Wouldn't
it be great if you could just put a little of that on your knee instead
of costly surgery? Oh well. Clyde bites the pain bullet tomorrow. I
bite the nurse bullet and we both bite the finance bullet.
I wish I could shoot old age without dying.

So
much to do today that about the only thing I am looking forward to is
supper which is spaghetti! Love it! Actually, I am looking forward to

Thursday
we will be checking Clyde into the hospital for his knee operation.
Not looking forward to that. I will be on call around the clock when he
comes home. A friend told me yesterday that her knee surgery helped
but now her knee is bothering her again. Ouch! That is not good news.
My
brother mentioned to me that the third leading cause of death is
medical mistakes. Thanks for that one bro! I used to worry about the
risks of anesthesia but Clyde was under for three hours when his wrist
was operated on so I am confident he will be okay. Found a great free
clip art cartoon that we can all relate to.
